The 21st Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Awards Ceremony
- 4 honorees in 3 categories, including the local community award - Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office held the 21st Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Awards Ceremony at the governor’s office at 2 PM on Wed, Dec. 15, 2021. The scale and scope of the ceremony were drastically reduced in consideration of the on-going pandemic, attended only by the honorees and related personnel. The 21st Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Awards Ceremony was held in recognition of honorees’ dedication to local urban development, including local community award recipient Lee Du-yeong, director of Chungbuk Economy Society Research Institute, culture and sports award recipient Ahn Byeong-chan, advisor of The Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea (Yeongdong branch), and industrial economy award recipients Kim Jong-yul, chairman of Okcheon County Industry Federation, and Lee Hyeon-su, chairman of Danyang County Council of the Korea Forestry Successor Association. On this day, Governor Lee Si-jong of Chungcheongbuk-do Province presented the honorees with certificates and plaques of the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Award, and said, “I am proud to present these honorees with the awards for their unwavering consideration for their neighbors and communities. They have reassured me that Chungcheongbuk-do Province is most definitely the best place to live in Korea.” Governor Lee added, “Thanks to all your dedication and contribution to the happiness of local residents, I am confident that we will be able to get through the pandemic together without much difficulty.” Chungcheongbuk-do Province Office plans to discover and award more honorees for their contribution in communities and enhance the pride of Chungcheongbuk-do Province. |
