Commencement of Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea 2021
- It will be held simultaneously on the website and at Osong Station from October 19 to 23 - - Various online and offline events and experiences await the participants - The Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea 2021 commenced on October 19 with a grand opening ceremony, and held the event for five days at Osong Station (Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do) and the official website of the expo (www.osongbeautyexpo.kr). The opening ceremony was attended by public figures, including Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, Governor Lee Si-jong of Chungcheongbuk-do Province, Mayor Han Beum-deuk of Cheongju, Minister Kim Gang-lip of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Vice Minister Ryu Geun-hyuk of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and representatives of beauty-related associations and companies. The opening ceremony was followed by a tour of the venue as well as congratulatory remarks from key figures, opening performance of a large beauty box, and an offline market under the theme of “K-Beauty, from Osong in Chungcheongbuk-do to the World.” This reputable export-oriented expo is focused on both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C), and is held both online and offline. The Osong Expo was intended to improve last year’s event qualitatively by complementing the B2B section with a B2C section this year. Various online and offline event programs and beauty experiences have been prepared to build the image of a public-friendly expo. Such concept of a cosmetic festival, where visitors can enjoy and make memories, is drawing a lot of attention as well as positive feedback. The Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea 2021 will be held at the expo’s official website (www.osongbeautyexpo.kr) and KTX Osong Station (Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do) until the October 23. There will be plenty of things to see and enjoy, including online business pavilion, e-conference, virtual export conference, offline market hall at Osong Station, online and offline events, and beauty experiences. This year, the NAVER Smart Store Special Exhibition and Live Commerce Broadcasting will also be held to establish online sales. In the opening remarks that day, Governor Lee Si-jong noted how the Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea 2021 has now established itself as a world-class export-oriented cosmetics expo, and added, “Held both off- and online, it allows Korean and overseas bio, cosmetics and beauty companies to conduct export negotiations through video conferences, with the market hall offering visitors an opportunity to personally see and purchase products offline. This event is the result of a great effort, showing that Chungcheongbuk-do Province, the capital of K-Beauty, can become the leader of the global beauty industry. We also took all the necessary quarantine measures to make sure that the event is COVID-free.” |
